it’s unclear to me, exactly what i was thinking when i buckled miss toddler monster into her highchair this morning, armed with markers and paper. my intentions were for her to remain occupied for a few minutes while i went upstairs to get ready for the day. well, occupy herself, she did. honestly, i’m baffled considering that this is my fourth trip to planet toddler-hood, that i didn’t see this as the natural outcome to leaving a toddler unattended with a rainbow of fun at her fingertips.
