my birthday began this morning as a beautiful ending to a wonderful weekend. my family, along with my dearest friend, mary and the oldest of her brood, Luke, enjoyed breakfast at The Coffee Shop bright and early this morning. one last hoorah before mary and luke headed to the airport to fly home to oklahoma. to consider that someone who isn’t even a member of my immediate family loves me enough to leave behind her husband and her two littlest of boys, then fly a thousand miles across the country to wish me a happy birthday, makes my heart swell immeasurably with love. it seems undeserved. never-the-less, that’s what she did and i adore her for it.
all the necessary frills to properly embellish a glorious cup of coffee. 
i think mary looks like meg ryan…except even prettier. 
natalie, ever so helpfully blowing my coffee for me. 
i’m confident that all of the kids perfectly enjoyed their birthday breakfast cinnamon rolls. 
yep, he get’s it. 
look mary, we’re bokeh. 
a delightful morning indeed.

it is so surreal to be here in oklahoma wearing the same shirt i see in pictures of me just this morning in arizona. i’ve been checking since i got home in the hopes that you’d post some of these. i’ve been telling stories about your kiddos & being grateful for my time with you. i would travel twice as far for you my friend…(and i’m going to have to place an order here very shortly)
