…since i’ve posted espresso shots (hehe, pun fully intended). it’s monday morning after a long weekend, i thought you might need a little caffeine boost. here’s a picture of what a typical morning in our home looks like:

mine, my husband’s and the toddler monster’s.

before everyone freaks out thinking i give my toddler espresso, look closely and you’ll notice that her “cokkee” is as white as snow. it contains no actual coffee, just steamed milk, sometimes with a sprinkle of raw sugar on top and enjoyed with a spoon along with her breakfast. i do, however, occasionally let the older kids have an espresso drink. in fact, my oldest is actually quite an enthusiast. their faves are cortaditos, iced lattes and of course, mochas.

what is wrong with toddlers having espresso? while luke is taking after his daddy (espresso inhibited) tate & seth get hearts in their eyes over mommy’s “coppee”. i feel it is my duty to carry on my family’s jittery tradition. and BTW a big happy birthday to your SIX year old. he has been on my heart quite heavily the past few days & especially this morning. how can he possibly be six?!

Jittery tradition… that’s a good one! LOL. BTW, ironically mine is the little yellow one, the BIG one is Misty’s. My latte art is terrible so I don’t even try. The heart on the one was purely accidental. One day I’ll get it down though.

alex, the term “latte art” makes me feel giddy. and it doesn’t surprise me @ all that misty’s is the biggest. if i lived with you guys i’d go buy one of those huge planters from a garden store for you to make my latte. and it would be green. and i’d want you to learn to make a latte art bird.
