i met the hoyt family, mike, jessica and little jake, in downtown gilbert last night for a family session.  jake wasn’t exactly in the mood for having his picture taken at first, he was pretty sleepy and really just interested in going to joes real bbq for dinner and root beer. however, with a little patience, understanding and a desire to capture true personality i think we walked away with some beautiful images of a rather impressive little boy.

when they arrived for the shoot, jake was sound asleep and was pretty serious about conveying the message that he really wanted to stay that way. but i think it’s a pretty glorious moment of a boy being comforted by his mommy.

it didn’t take too long before he was thinking about playing along.

i know i’m always going on and on about baby lashes, but, there was no way i could pass these beauties up.

look at that face, i could see him in Baby Gap ads for sure.

i love this, in fact, i adore it.

all warmed up and ready to play now.

jake was pretty sure he was going to get that hydrant to spray water…one way or another.

how lucky were we to actually head to the train tracks to get a few shots and to be greeted by a train zooming by!

seriously, that’s one cute face.
