my mother’s day gift had nothing to do with flowers, brunch, jewelry or anything that cost even one cent. in fact, my gifts were spending nearly three hours with my oldest daughter, shopping for produce and lounging at the bookstore, looking through magazines as well as a little bit of zero-pressure, totally recreational and creative photography. it did my soul good.
the creativity displayed by the fine folks at jones soda sparked a bit of inspiration.
i love to photograph my kids or anyone’s kids for that matter, just playing, being free and little.
the next two are what happens when you lie in the grass and let a little scootering and soda bottle fun happen in front of you.

i hope all the mom’s out there had a day that filled their souls with good stuff.
