…featuring the totally adorable and amazing, mielle (i’ve mentioned it before in her previous sessions…but, seriously, that’s the most amazing name.). although i had two other magnificently adorable faces to blog with this session, i chose mielle as the sneak peek because she’s a perfect example of what i love about photographing people. she’s just at the age where she’s learned to walk and she’s really good at…meaning, it’s all she wants to do. i always tell parents that this is the age in which the images are going to become much more photojournalistic in style. which is my very favorite way to shoot. i wish i would have had endless hours to follow her around and document her in her world.
i love the look on her little face. i could go on and on about what her sweet little eyes are saying.
i know some of you have been waiting ever so patiently for a glimpse at more of mighty max’s session. well, after a few technical difficulties followed by some equipment upgrades…here ya go!
seriously, have you EVER seen a more precious face? look at those lashes, those squishy little lips…all of it. just looking at this face makes me sigh with contentment.
…and there will most certainly be a round 2. max is just cool like that. where to start? i’m just gonna jump right in here and start off by saying, i. love. this. family. it’s truly a gift to have clients that are actually amazing friends. there’s only one problem with it, i tend to get chatty and too relaxed…to a point that i just want to sit down and chill out. however, these guys are over-the-top photogenic so that helps pull me back to the task at hand. in fact, i was just telling claire today that she and jordan were photogenically fabulous enough when it was just the two of them, then they went and made a super-cutie, max. the three of them, well, they just make me happy.
and here they are, presenting…maximus, king of all wild things. i love the expressions on all three faces…priceless. and yes, claire is the prettiest person i’ve ever met. i think i’ve actually told her that she’s the prettiest “real” person i’ve ever met. she’s hollywood pretty. must be where max gets it! just kiddin’ jordan, you’re really pretty too.

what a beauty!
what a sweet girl miss nora is! she made it through several wardrobe changes, a late snack-time and even a late nap-time, with flying colors. i loved crawling around on the floor, playing and exploring with little nora to get some sweet shots of her, being herself.

those eyes.....
i can’t believe it’s been three days since this shoot and i’m just now blogging it. on my way home from the session, i was so excited about it that i was certain i’d have it blogged by that night before i went to bed. anyhow, strolling around downtown chandler with kinsley, and her parents, dennis and jada was loads of fun. i love photographing kids at kinsley’s age, it’s the best kind of challenge and so rewarding to see the shots i’ve walked away with. i love the fact that the images are always so true to the child’s personality…there are no fake smiles or poses when you’re a year and a half old. the giggles, laughs, pouts, tears, and kicking-and-screaming tantrums are all real. but, for the record, kinsley didn’t actually have any kicking-and-screaming tantrums.
that’s one of the most amazing kissy faces i’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing. perfection.
