that’s what my youngest son had been requesting for his 7th birthday for nearly a year. so, that’s exactly what he got. not just any old mocha and pancakes though, Liberty Market blueberry pancakes and mocha…top notch.

seriously, i’ve honestly never tasted a pancake so good. i only had one bite, but i made it count.

ok, remember that really exciting thing I said was coming up? the big secret! well it’s finally here!

Today we officially launch a new podcast!  Naked Pictures Exposed, produced by Epodology.com and hosted by Rob Actis and me! The show will be available on iTunes later this week but we couldn’t wait to get this out there so you can stream the first show right here on my blog. i’m not sure of the exact cause…but i do have a hint, as to why i’ve been so bad at blogging as of late.  it could be the hot, coma-inducing weather here in the valley, it could be that i’ve added the job title of “chauffeur” to my resume,  now that school is back in session and i have three kids at two different schools that are just about at total opposite ends of the city,  it could be  the ever-growing mountain of laundry that seems to be taking over my home (no, i’m simply avoiding that so that can’t be it), maybe it’s that we’re right smack in the middle of birthday season in our family (we have a birthday a month for six consecutive months) or well, maybe, just possibly, it could be my wonderfully sweet and seriously sassy toddler monster that’s hindering my blogging ways.  my husband says i blame everything on her, just because she happens to be at the scene of the crime most times, so, i think i’ll pin this one on her too.  the thing is, with the three older kiddos all being in school now…i’m home ALONE with miss natty all day long.  no big brothers to play “choo choo nains” with and no big sister to have “tory time” with, just one boring mommy who spends way too much time on her computer.  as i sat down to catch up on a little blogging i ran across these images i got a couple of months ago, before my days were turned upside down.  they jumped out at me and screamed to be blogged, not only because they depict a much more “productive” time but also because they immediately make me think of one very special little one in need of lots of thought, love and prayer currently.  Little Maximus Evan Griffin, who happens to be the King of All Wild Things, is fighting a battle bigger than most of us will ever face right now…and he’s just over two weeks old.  You might remember his gorgeous mommy and his daddy from our maternity session a little while ago, take a look here.  To learn all about Max’s story, check out his very own blog here. a little slice of super special sisterly sweetness.

last night, after a hard day of working in the backyard laying paver tiles, after the kids were all sleeping, my husband snuck out into the night to retrieve this gem just for me. yep, it says “2 an old mom & happy m day”…and i love it. alex knew, that for mother’s day,  i would appreciate a goofy sarcastic cake that pays homage to one of my favorite websites, cakewrecks.com, rather than a plain old “regular” cake. if you haven’t yet discovered and become addicted to cakewrecks.com, do so immediately. the first time i was introduced to this glorious tribute to disastrous cakes everywhere, by my dear friend cari, i stayed awake into the wee hours of the morning pouring over the archives. all the while, laughing so hard sometimes i worried i would explode trying not to be so loud that i woke the kids. seriously people, you have to check it out, and don’t dare skip the the hilarious prose of the blog’s author, jen.  i think i’ll head over there now to check out today’s wrecks.

stephen’s an extraordinary musician and an even more amazing worship pastor. his ability to move a group of people in worship is a beautiful thing. i’m humbled by his profound passion to speak into the hearts of young people through his music.

it seems it was time for new bio pics… because i was sort of seriously lacking in the area. i tend to grumble and groan about being in front of the camera but it always ends up being so much fun. and since my husband is not only gifted at making moving pictures (see here) but still photography as well, all i need to do is  pry my fingers off  toss the camera his way and let him loose. it’s also really cool for me to get a feel for what i ask from my clients! so, check it out (click here).
