i made the professional decision awhile ago to not blog more than 4 or 5 images per session, for several reasons. however, there are times when it just can’t be helped. so, sit back and enjoy the marathon.

all that soft, glowy, buttery light combined with squishy baby lips and rosy baby cheeks…perfection.

and the lashes. oh, the lashes.

max is not only the king of the wild things, but the king of silly faces as well.

note the tower of blocks in the first of these two shots, then the happy/guilty smile in the second. getting into mischief of one kind or another.

this one’s especially for mom. max, for the most part, takes heavily after his daddy as far as looks go, but in this shot…he’s all mommy.

seriously, i’ve honestly never tasted a pancake so good. i only had one bite, but i made it count.


despite the fact that i’ve recently posted this shot,  i couldn’t leave it out of the big picture. talk about “good to the last drop”.
my beauty with her cortadito. she’s growing up at lightening speed.
i think anyone who knows me would believe that i finished all six rounds but i didn’t…only two shots were mine. my bigs actually finished in record time.

having three siblings has it’s advantages for sure. like a giant plate of amazing buttermilk pancakes for one.

i love how “two” she looks here. just focused on exploring and having fun, with no concern for what the rest of us were doing.

i’m not sure she could be any happier. me either.

well, i don’t know, this picture makes me happier than anything. two peas in a pod. part of me wishes i knew what they were talking about, the other part is happy to let them have each other without my input. i just don’t know when my first two babies grew up? i know, they have an awful lot of growing left to do but when i still think of them as my babies, they certainly look well on their way here.

this shot is precious in so many ways. gabe looks so much like his dad when he was the same age. i just wish i would have noticed this picture in time to show my mother-in-law. she would have loved to see her baby boy in that face.

this guy was fierce. in the water, out of the water, running down the sidewalk, back in the water, back out of the water, back down the sidewalk…over and over again. not sure what he was training for but i felt like i was close to needing resuscitation just witnessing this.

for the life of me, i can’t think of it but this reminds me of a book. it’ll haunt me until i figure it out.

this makes me think of Where the Wild Things Are. not necessarily for obvious reasons, but it does.
