that’s what my youngest son had been requesting for his 7th birthday for nearly a year. so, that’s exactly what he got. not just any old mocha and pancakes though, Liberty Market blueberry pancakes and mocha…top notch.
seriously, i’ve honestly never tasted a pancake so good. i only had one bite, but i made it count.

seems like there might be an adjective missing here. hmmm. either way, he completely loved his birthday mocha from Liberty Market today.
…on a bag of this deliciously roasted yumminess. cinnamon vanilla swirl coffee beans from luci’s. it’s my absolute favorite and i’ve been told (hint hint, husband of mine) that i can expect a bag this evening. it’s just what i’ll need to make it through another whirlwind weekend.

…for your friday enjoyment. just the type of randomness that brings me a smile. it’s all about seeing a little something special in the regular things.

Whatever that last picture is, I want one. :) Lovely as usual.
i never want to pass up an opportunity to shoot, although sometimes i don’t feel like lugging out the “big camera”. this is where my iphone comes in, it’s truly a glorious tool for capturing moments on the fly or when i just want the challenge of basically just using literally what i have in my hand, nothing fancy. these shots are from a little lunch date at Luci’s Healthy Marketplace that my husband and i shared with natty-like-a-cat yesterday. i hope you’ll be inspired to capture some great phone photography.
i touched on this topic in my most recent podcast as well. check back soon to give it a listen, you can find the link here.
i seriously love both of these things…as much as one soul could love food. in fact, i look forward to the first like a giddy 4 year old little girl waiting for the ice-cream truck. naturally, i have to photograph them because i photograph everything i love. everything.
what is it? irish-style steel cut oats with toasted pecans and a light drizzling of agave nectar. mmm…healthy eating makes me happy and it’s nothing short of delicious. this is better than pretty much any sugary sweet confection i can think of.

this one’s slightly more of an indulgence, but so worth it from time to time. a double-shot cortadito. one perfect shot of espresso in each glass with a teeny bit of frothed milk with agave nectar rather than sugar. i’m pretty confident that i appear slightly off my rocker for my insistence on healthy food choices… since they don’t actually offer agave nectar as a sweetener at most places, i bring my own…in a medicine syringe, tucked away in my purse. i know, it does seem slightly overboard. trust me, it’s not. just go with it. raw agave nectar is totally natural, no funky chemicals and low glycemic…and wonderful. this beauty is from the liberty market’s e61 bar. they make ‘em top notch.

Um... they sorta don't carry the Vanilla Cinnamon Swirl, but I left my name and number and they're supposed to ...
