i’m working on getting this particular little client’s gallery uploaded today…couldn’t help but post this shot when i ran across it again.

the weekend’s over and it’s back to work! let’s get this work week started right,  with a post of a super cool family. i’ve photographed for the johnston’s twice before and this time was a little extra special with the added bonus of casey’s sister, ashley and her little guy, grady joining us for a great session. i had a blast with these guys…grace never fails to deliver a super silly time, mielle was full of wonder and exploration and little grady was nothing short of perfection!

i know some of you have been waiting ever so patiently for a glimpse at more of mighty max’s session. well, after a few technical difficulties followed by some equipment upgrades…here ya go!

seriously, have you EVER seen a more precious face? look at those lashes, those squishy little lips…all of it. just looking at this face makes me sigh with contentment.

…and there will most certainly be a round 2. max is just cool like that. where to start? i’m just gonna jump right in here and start off by saying, i. love. this. family. it’s truly a gift to have clients that are actually amazing friends. there’s only one problem with it, i tend to get chatty and too relaxed…to a point that i just want to sit down and chill out. however, these guys are over-the-top photogenic so that helps pull me back to the task at hand. in fact, i was just telling claire today that she and jordan were photogenically fabulous enough when it was just the two of them, then they went and made a super-cutie, max. the three of them, well, they just make me happy.

and here they are, presenting…maximus, king of all wild things. i love the expressions on all three faces…priceless. and yes, claire is the prettiest person i’ve ever met. i think i’ve actually told her that she’s the prettiest “real” person i’ve ever met.  she’s hollywood pretty. must be where max gets it! just kiddin’ jordan, you’re really pretty too.

just couldn’t go to bed without posting at least one of tonight’s shots. mighty max is looking a little sneaky like a ninja, making it seem appropriate for a sneak peek.

i photographed jake and tiffany a few weeks ago (check it out here), they had so much that we did it again! this time with tiffany’s boys,  parents and little brother. we had a fantastic time strolling around mill avenue, taking in all of the festive sights and sounds. these are seriously just a few of my favorite images. these guys are so incredibly photogenic that i had a hard time putting the camera away.

…on another holiday season, and looking forward to a whole new year. there are some amazing things on the horizon for 2010, personally as well as professionally. if i’m able to reach half of the goals i’ve set, it’ll be wild for sure. before i say goodbye to 2009 altogether, i wanted to stop a second, and absorb some of the season. life goes so quickly, sometimes the only thing that helps me anchor memories into my head are photos. this was an especially fast-moving holiday season. so much so, that in the beginning, my focus was razor sharp on working and not at all on enjoying the moments. the season started off with me feeling pretty scrooge-y, in fact. much to my surprise, though, and without my realizing it, by the time it was over, i was very much in the holiday spirit…thanks to my family and friends. we filled the season with things that were not quite what we would have ordinarily done to celebrate the holidays, and i’m so glad. it was so much more fun and felt so much more real.
