stephen’s an extraordinary musician and an even more amazing worship pastor. his ability to move a group of people in worship is a beautiful thing. i’m humbled by his profound passion to speak into the hearts of young people through his music.

my dear friend lissette rang and asked that i come snap a few images of her sweet girl in an heirloom dress before miss maggie grew out of it. i adore maggie with all my heart so i sprang right into action! this sweet hand-made dress has been in lissette’s family for generations and all the baby girls have worn it and been photographed in it. how awesome is that? i’m so glad i’ve been saving dresses that my girls have worn to pass down, i know they may not be the fashion of the day when claudia and natalie are having babies but maybe they’ll amuse me by letting their daughter’s wear them for a photo! i already get emotional when i see natalie in some of claudia’s old outfits…it may be more than i can handle to see their daughter’s in the same outfits as well.  have i mentioned that i’m over-the-top sentimental? i think i’ve even passed it on to my children, you should hear them as we decorate the christmas tree “family memories…good times, good times” is a phrase frequently uttered by any one of them. aside from sentimental they may also be a tad cheesy.

just because it’s thursday and we’re in the middle of moving and i haven’t had any time to get any session images ready for posting and just because i really like green and brown together and just because i’m glad i have my husband (and coffee) go through all of this craziness with me…i thought i’d post this.  just another take on the wedding day ring shot …only  these little bands of gold aren’t shiny and new but wear the signs of 12 years of marriage (similar to this one, maybe i’ll start a project based on the idea???).

ok, so this may be the sneakiest sneak peek ever (insert evil laugh here)…but i couldn’t wait another minute to post something from my senior session with the amazing jillian this weekend.  by the way, it could have been way sneakier, i could have just posted a shot of her cute shoes!

…yesterday’s post about what love means was twelve days before valentines day… how about the twelve days of st. valentine? i’ll see if i can keep it going. so, for the 11th day…

what love means is this: 
celebrating your one year wedding anniversary by picking up and moving across the country at very nearly a moments notice all to answer God’s calling. bill and candice are heading to boise on thursday to begin a new chapter in their lives together and hopefully begin a new ministry there soon. they decided to pause the chaos that is moving across country and spend a little quality time together.

bill and candice, thank you so much for inviting me to document your last evening here in phoenix. i’ll be posting more on your session within the next day or two but just wanted to get this one image of the two of you up while you still have internet access. i wish you all the best on your new adventure.

last night my husband and i went out on the town and got our espresso on! let me say, the liberty market baristas makes an amazing cuppa joe. thanks so much to our dear and amazing friends for taking such great care of our kids so that we could enjoy some quality coffee time.

ok, so maybe i won’t…but if i had lots more time i must just do it.  since i happen to be rather short on time but i really want to share a few more of terra’s images i’ll post two more and try to stop there.
